CRAP - battery problems!

Hey guys,

I need help with some batteries. I just bought a battery from a battery specialty store that matched the battery that goes in bits. Its specs are

-1.2V
-100mAh
-NIMH

Sounds good on paper doesn't it? So I placed the battery in the bit (perfect fit) and decided to run it on the charger to see whether the battery was working. It ran so fast on the charger, I thought the bit would fall off!
But as soon as I take it off the charger it won't even move! Another thing I noticed is the fact that the charging light is quite dim at times with the new battery.

It looks like the battery is having problems charging. Could it be that the 2 AA's in the charger aren't strong enough to charge the new NIMH battery? Is there a remedy to this problem?

You could've gotten a crap battery but most likely you got a loose conection. Does the battery fit in the car nice and tight? The car will run on the controller without even having a bat in the car, the car just runs off of the juice from the controller. Check to see if the battery is making a good contact.
