Boost Or Non Boost?

I wanted to ask all you peeps if it is worth getting a booster machine set with 4-band controller? I heard that the booster machine sets are slower because they run on a slower speed, and the boost option allows it to run normal speed... is this true. And i already know that it has bad range.... so should i get a booster bit or should i purchase a Supra Bit Char-g?

its actually alot faster than normal speed if you are using the boost. but without boost its alot slower too. so you can control it better in the turns i guess

As far as I can tell, boost is normal speed, non-boost is about half-speed. It's actually nice though...like when you want to drive on some slick surface, and full speed is too fast, you can switch to half speed and still have fun. Half speed is also fun for challenges like simulated parking etc.

There is a switch on the controller to have it in constant boost mode, selectable boost mode, (Button on right shoulder of controller) or traditional Bit control mode. (Necessary to control 1-speed bits) I don't have any problem with the range on mine. It's about 15 feet.

It should be said that the 4 channels do not include the new, American channel of 49mhz. It has 27, (American) 35, 45, and 57.

I really like it and would suggest anyone to go this route and buy just the cars for 20 bucks instead of the whole set for $30-40.

^boost is not full speed. its faster than full speed.
i raced my friend exact same setup. same motor same suspension same tires. only difference is i have boost and he doesn't. my car was running almost twice as fast as him when i hit boost

Try swapping motors with your friend. I'm thinking you must have a faster motor, or maybe his drivetrain is dragging a little more than yours. I'm not trying to start a fight with ya bruddah.

I don't think that the boost feature can just "make" electricity, and these things don't have the greatest quality control happenin'.

The 1-speed Bits should be sending all the juice they can from the battery to the motor. How can the Boost Bits be sending more energy if they have the same battery?

323it is right. Booster cars are faster than regular Bit Char-G's. The circuitry in the booster car probably allows the motor to draw more current. The regular Bit Char-g cars circuitry probably doesn't allow the motor to draw as much current as the Booster.

You all are right. I took the motor and gears from my booster, and put them in a single speed (normal) Bit and it was noticably slower.

No more normal Bits for me.
