Pie, the dual cell mod forces you into a bunch of other mods to get control of what you created so it's wise not to get into it unless you dig working on tiny weenie things.

100% black colored silicone is available in squeeze tubes from either a local hardware store or automotive parts store. Think I used 'DAP' brand. but easy to make once you get used to spreading the stuff onto the tires with a slick strip of mylar.

The only reason I got into it was for the custom width of my tire set up, you probably dont have to do a darn thing to a stock car, although the silicone coating makes for some pretty sticky grippy tires. You'll make a mess the first try but just let it dry overnight (needs to cure for 12-24 hrs) then peal it all off and try again till you get it just right.

Thanks for the pics Strider! You probably have better accelleration due to a lighter wheelset but do you have enough sticky rubber on the road to do a wheelie? Is that a dual cell car? No flipping with that set up?

Naa this car was for display because the wheels match. I haven't dualed it yet.

My other dual is a wheelie poppin' mofo though.

well, over the weekend I realized that my "brass cap" wheel extension setup was just too heavy and the car barely would turn simply because of the weight and expanse of the rear axel. I think the weight really kept the car tacked to the surface-- so much that the front wheels couldn't turn the car very well, perfect for drag racing but who does that?--the weight really slows acceleration too, but once it gets going its tough to stop.

the aluminum collar extension is perfect however. But for the little 4'x8' racing oval I made--these wheel setups are a little too aggressive and hamper the turning ability of the tiny weenie stock front wheels. So I just thought I would make it known that for wide open floor racing my pictured axels + setup work excellent and you can truly go full dual cell power with zero flipping, however for sharp turning technical stuff no way. So perhaps something in the middle ground is my next venture--like what Strider did.

By the way i added silicone to just some stock rear tires and got super traction until they needed another cleaning.

I have the same problem with Rug Runner and Another Monster Wheelset .

Even with three cells, ol rug runner doesn't go much faster. All it really does is heat up the motor.

The sad fact is that these cars are engineered pretty closely to begin with.
