ZZ motor solves slow mode of booster!!!!!
I bought a Zip Zap today, yes the Ford body sucks, The Eclipse looks muck better and paint is better. They sit to high on the chasis, yes, tires are treaded but skinnier than those of Tomy Bits. How these compare to the other clones I have no idea, I have only owned Tomy ones, got my first 3 in Japan as well as a DigiQ yuk!.
One thing I did find is that when I put the 21,500rpm motor (red) in my Booster Bit, the slow setting was much faster than with the 2.6 Tomy motor. On boost there was an increase it just was not as noticeable as the on off boost with the Tomy motor, due to the much faster "slower" setting.
I will try the 23,500rpm motor Thursday. Hopefully it will be even better.
For anyone who is hesitant about a Booster because the aweful, slow speed setting and the hard to control fast setting, the Zip Zap motors might be the perfect fix.
Can someone else try this in there Booster to back me up. One word of caution, the ZZ motors fit but it caused the small plastic piece that the motor cover clips to to crack, it is holding for now (nothing a little crazy glue wont fix!).
I plan on using a ZZ to make a light weight racer as some others have done using a dremel, at 20 bucks I can afford to mess it up, Bit cost 30.00 in the bay area. Plus lexan HO bodies will fit it and weigh nothing.

Cant believe the the lack of response to this thread.
Does anyone else want to try this.
So many responses to the other thread about the ZIp Zap being inferior.
Zip Zap Motor and axle sets can be purchased for 7.99 (2 motors and 3 axles) thats a great deal.

NISMOrob, I think it's just that most people haven't been able to find them yet - remember that they aren't even out for another 4 days technically!
