i just got a really generic one from burlington coat factory and it is the best clone and in some ways is better than a bit.

the best clone is a frankenstein of parts from several clone brands and bit parts.

I agree with the Hog. The best is a frankenstein of parts. Every clone has its strengths and weaknesses. Just make sure to tighten the bolts in its neck.

LXX is a good choice because you can get an LXX booster. Booster buttons rock.

I'm the last person to ask about range. All of my RCs are limited by interference, not actual range. I can take a car that has awesome range somewhere else, add CAT5 wire and clip cripple caps, and get no better range than a clone that has inherently lousy range. My house is some sort of beacon for RF, evil spirits, electromagnetism, or some other kind of crazy shenanigans.

Heck. My new Epoch only gets about 10 or 15 feet. My cordless phones mysteriously cut out all over the place. My cell phone won't work in the house. The only car I have with good range is my Iracer, which used IR.

actually crappy clones almost always have better range than microsizers.
