Old pic here. Reused old blimp motor and prop; wires run to pcb inside hollow blue motor mount. Activates when boost button pressed.. just for show, of course. Runs off internal 200mAh dual cell. It doesn't make it any faster, but it looks hella cool. Makes a nice fan too.
Now, all I have to do is add some wings, lol.

It only comes on when the car is already moving and the boost button is pressed, so I don't know if it could move the car by itself. Probably not very fast. It's just for looks and for laughs, which is why it's here in the "craziest mod" section.
edit: yes, the fan does move pretty fast, enough that it feels like a small fan.
