I was at an auto show that sony hade made a ford focus packed with explode speakers and amps. Any1 else seen that car it's pretty sweet and with that many speakers there is no way for it to sound bad. I wish I had a dvd player in my car

and they probably had a hollow cavity under the car and used sevral acoustics tricks to make it sound even louder.

ok, i just talked to the guy, my fault I thought he said windows, it wasn't windows he borke, he had somethin glass in his car and he told me glass, i mistook him my bad sorry.... anyway, it is not a crappy car, a 99 pontiac grand am, the speakers have excellent sound quality as well as bass, one thing i know that he did was rattle his rear view mirror off, he showed me it after it was rattled off....

I didn't know that some cars come stock with amps!!! My sister has a 1989 Pontiac 6000 SE and it has a very small amp in the back, not enough to do anything too much, but the thing has great sound and great bass!

I love bass at least as much as you guys buy really whats the point of going that overboard trying to breah windows I'm going to get a good sound system with some trebel and midrange Of course I will have tons a base But I will also have some the rest to back it up
anybody here care about sound quality or just about how many db your system can make

OF COURSE sound quality is important. But come on, we mod to show off right? If all you want is wimpy bass, then sure go for it. and besides... we were talking about competitions... that would be why we started talking about breaking stuff. it's all about being better than the next guy.

Anyway. here's my setup:
Rockford Fosgate Head Unit.
CD/MP3, 50WattX4, 3 RCA outs (subs, front, back)
2 RCA ins (for my dvd/atari when i get that all hooked up lol!)

Feeds to:

800 Watt Profile California Series Amp
claimes 600 watt RMS, but I think it hits harder regularly.
and
600 Watt Jensen 4 channel
dunno RMS, but I'd say easily 100X4

Profile feeds to 2 JBL 1500GT's
sealed bandpass box.

Jensen feeds to all fosgate mids and highs
I know Fanatic-P components
don't remember the back ones.
(the only 5 something in. ovals that Fosgate makes)

Powered with All scosche EFX wires.
4 guage on the 800, 8 guage on the 600.

Anywho. So yeah, sound quality in mine is more than good. I often listen to jazz and classical... and man, the highs and mids are crisp, and clean and the bass is just enough to feel the thump in your chest (turned down)

but if some kid rolls up next to me and turns his crap up, I can blow him out with the bass. Believe me, I don't go around hittin' mad bass all the time.

It's more like...

you can get yourself a pellet gun... or you can pull out a glock. Which would you rather have?

the system i've noticed in alot of ricer mobiles is usually clarion to be honest. and the most over rated product has to be pheonix gold of course this is my opinion but the pg subs i've heard in comps and stuff are reallly bad quality and not even all that loud they get really crackely at reletively low volume has anyone heard (physicly) different?
