stereo equipment biz is mostly hype.
jbl is the way to go for low/mid end consumer speakers. old san sui amps are way better than anything on the market nowadays.
you get what you pay for.

JBL is awesome. they sound nice for the first few months. but as soon as they get worked in, then they start to hit the max. but like my bro has 2 JBL 1200GT's in a Bandpass box with 800 watts runnin to them. Its enough to blow the windows out of his car, but he doesnt want to try. but i agree, whats bass when you cant even hear the mid and high range speakers. that is why my bro has amped his mid and high speakers. he has rockford fosgate mids and highs and he's got a 600 watt amp runnin to them, which is way too much, but this is what he got from his friend for free, so he has them turned way down. but its cool. . . well back the cars.
How much HP would i get out of this?

HEY!
HEY! THAT'S MY MUFFLER!!!
anyway, excited to get that thing on my car thursday!
Well for you audio guys. You really do get what you pay for... sometimes. If you want a HARD hitting amp for cheap, i recommend Profile. I have one of those, and it puts out about 600 Watts RMS (800 watt amp). Which is enough to bottom out my JBL GT's.
(which, incidentally, it's all for sale if anyone's interested... i want something bigger)
take care all you ricers out there.
(i'm thinking about putting a "powered by honda (struck through the "honda" and replaced with Rice)" sticker on my car.... what do you guys think?)

ok i almost agree with you get what u pay for except that my friend has two 12" p5's
in his truck and they are both being powered by a 800W 2 channel amarican legacy amp (only paid about $120 can clams) now in futureshop when he bought them they were being powered by an 800W mono sony amp
and with his legacy it sounds the same if not better than the one in futureshop. now if you know stuff aboot car audio you'd think that's pretty strange. because the legacy is only 400Peakx2 non bridged so rms that's about 150-200 listening to average techno music with more drummy type of bass. whereas that sony amp at futureshop is 800 peak and about 400rms because it's mono. now if i haven't bored u to death i think it's kinda WEIRD and so sholuld u

actually, if you put that into 1:1 scale, I bet it's be a 2.5 inch exhaust!
IMO, dual exhausts shouldn't be very wide, if you have a single one, it should be

Thats true. so any one that puts dual 4in. tips on their car. i will probably laugh, then proceed to throw things like stones and bologna at your car, cuz bologna removes paint if on for a period of time (overnight will suffice)
but a scale tip would be about 0.0625in, 0.15625cm, or 1.5625mm. so there you go. anybody has the time, then you could do that
