picked up a black mustang and the new booster motor pack. OMG
i went tripple 160mA in my black 49mhz stang with the newer style pcb and tested out the motors from the new booster pack.
all i can say is WOW! radio shack has really done it this time.
i drag raced(12 feet) two fast cars against each other with these combo's:
Car #1. new black mustang body, tripple 160mA batts, (new red motor(from rx8 and yellow/orange motors from new motor kit)
Car #2. yellow mustang body, tripple 160mA batts, Bit Char g pcb swap, perfection 3.8 motor.
both have the same tire setup, slicks in the back, stock up front and stock suspensions and same bodies.
drag race #1.
Car #1. new style red motor, new zz pcb.
Car #2. perfection 3.8, bit pcb swap.
result: Car #1 wins off the line and stays a little ahead...perfection was catching up(probably a perfection 3.8 win by the end of 20 feet), the new red motor has defined a new meaning to the word TORQUE! very fun motor with 3 cells.
Drag race #2.
Car #1. new style yellow motor, new zz pcb
Car#2. perfection 3.8, bit pcb swap(same as before)
Result: Car#1 wins off the line again by a smaller ammount but continues to pull greatly ahead of the 3.8.
Drag race #3.
Car #1. new style orange 2.8 motor, new zz pcb
Car #2. perfection 3.8, bit pcb swap(same)
Result:
Both same off the line...zz orange 2.8 pulls ahead after 5 feet.
End result... i dont know what they did to the new yellow motor...but it's much faster than the old yellow motor...and has a great tq/top end balance....it just might be the
best motor out on the market...
my opinion...the new zz pcb kicks major cajhones with multi cells...it appears to
be a valid contender. the new motors rock...i need to try them out with the bit pcb.
next race coming up. (in a few days).
4 cell new style zz VS 4 cell zz with microsizer pro booster pcb.
who will win? only time will tell.( i hope the microsizer pro board wins...
i love the dual speeds. hehehe )

Is it just me, or is the yellow motor faster than the orange motor? I'm getting a lot more speed out of the yellow. It's as if the orange has no torque.

Yea...I'm getting that for some weird reason too. My friend would smoke me with his NOS even though I have a Racing motor (28,000rpm). That's kinda weird.

The orange 28,000 motor in the 350z is mind boggling. I couldn't believe the amount of torque and speed. Best motor I've owned to date!!! I see absolutely no power differences between the Bits and Zips now.

the 2.8 motor is nice and torquey in the 350z bit booster as well.
i really do think the motor designations need to be redone.
the new zz motors are a must buy.

That new Zip Zap racing motor looks strangely like a dks 3.1 zip zap motor, runs like it too.
