ahhh spanky's rite.... actually, now i remember.. he's one of the dudes that owned me and shut me down in that arguement! *cowers*..

hmmm odd... never seen a fast neon, but never really seen one advertise it was fast either... but i completely agree, most civics out there are all show... 'cept the odd one with a B18C (i think) engine sittin in there... and that one in import tuner with a CRV engine...

back on topic...... anyone think of making a prelude? it's a very nice car, but gets shafted too often... (eg. GT3, AM dont have them)...spanky, with ur skills, im lookin ur way..

Ok, first of all. Don't open your mouth if you don't know what your talking about. How do you figure that they are "disposable P.O.Ses"? Yes, some Neon colors had paint issues, but because the paint is chipping it makes the whole car junk? The only real problems Neons had is Head Gasket issues, which isnt that hard to fix.

Second, no fast neons? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH...I'm sorry...Talk to Len Ayala (8.6 second 1/4 MI WITHOUT N20), or Phat Rides (8.2ish Second 1/4 MI, 820HP), or NUMEROUS sub 15 second, street legal neons. STOCK Manual Neons run mid-15's. STOCK, my friends Neon runs 15.01 with about $500 in mods.
Check out www.neons.org, read some of the forums, read about how all of our Neons are "Disposable P.O.Ses" ()

Third, if I sound like an ass, sorry. But EVERYONE disses Neons, BUT the truth is, before you diss, learn a little bit about what your dissing, so you don't sound like a total dumbass.

Fourth, a 2002 STRATUS vs 2001 NEON?? Do you REALIZE that Neons arent in the same class as Strati? A Ford Mustang will smoke a Focus too....If your gonna say that, compare equal cars (Neons - Civics - Focii' - Sentras - etc).

Ok, I think I'm done.

Yea, 200SX' are fast. Pretty light, but Neons arent made for the 1/4, take a Neon to an Auto-X event, it will OWN Focus', Sentras, and most other Auto-X cars.

yea i have heard that they handle awesome! ive only driven the 95' neon.. and that was in 1996 so i dont really remember how it was.. but i really like the way mine handles.. stock tires suck.. so i flopped some dunlop D60's (basically the A2) and it sticks like glue to the road...

anyway back to bits.. im going to try to make some bodys that look like the cars in the rim of the world rally. so basically about 10 different WRX themes, 5 mitsubushi themes and then a bunch of others.... i will post some pics of it after the event. im bringing the digi cam, and so is a friend. so between the two of us im sure we can get some good pics of the decals on these cars..

Yes, Neons are excellent on handling, mine is a 97 Sport, and it handles GREAT! I've actually had it on 3 wheels before, without any fear of it rolling or anything.

Yea back to bits, I would love to see some Rally bodies! I'd like an Escudo P.P. Version body

i dont think they have auctually made an escudo in a few years... nothing new coming from themm but i could be wrong.. its not really a rally car. its a hill climb car. hill climbs are kidna rallys but still different.

heres a pic of an 800hp wrx. i have more pics of it. as well as many pics in the srt usa pit area. and the mitsubishi pit area..

my fav car was probably the mini cooper. http://www.dtrally.com i talked to the brothers driving this car.. they broke a control arm befor the last stage and pulled off after I started them on the last stage.. once all of the cars went through they limped their car to the finish of the stage.. they lost a lot of time but still finished!!

the neons there had some kick ass bubbly vented hoods with mopar stamped all over them.

oh and the taxi. yea thats right. a taxicab rallyed. i think it was a modified corola...

anyway i have pics of all of them and will be putting up a online gallery sometime this week.. i still have some film to be developed. i didnt use all digital because i was worried about destroying my camera in the horrid weather...
