Pro Celica Project

Here is my MS Pro Booster Celica Project.

So far, I have just done an 'Alternate Booster Button Location' mod on the controller. I put a super torque 3.0 motor and red ZZ gears with ZZ front knuckles and steering arm. Now that is has big front wheels, I use ZZ grippy knobby tires all the way around. (turns way sharper with the ZZ front end) It's just fast enough to be controllalbe on my track unboosted and REALLY hard to handle when it's boosted.

I tinted the windows and blackened the spoiler. I am going to do some black striping down the sides and hood as well.

Oh yeah, check out the chrome mufflers.

I got the button out of a clone 'bullet' controller. They are perfect, because they take slightly less pressure than the MS button. Meaning, I can push directly on the boost button and then hit the whole pad and I get a quick take off. Or, I can just push the pad and go slow.

I'll post more pics later, I wanna pimp this car out a bit more.

Cool But, why would you want two buttons? Why don't you just disconnect the old one?

That's more work and I'm lazy. I just solder the new one onto the back of the PCB w/o touching the old one.

An old mous has buttons in it, or just go to radioshack and get some. I made a Lego touch sensor out of an old mouse button once.

How could you do that if you have joysticks on your controller?

You could attatch it to the front/reverse joystick maybe and run the wires down it? I don't know, it could work

you could put 2 buttons next to each other. Make the go button sit on a rubber grommet and the boost button sit on a firm base. When you pust the button it would go. When you push harder, It would compress the rubber grommet allowing the pad to go further and compress the boost button.
