Creating your own track
I bought the Microsizers Guide Rails and Pylon Set.
Has anyone created a track using these, I was thinking about getting an 8 x 4 foot plywood table, and painting it grey and setting up different mini tracks, and also solo SCCA type events.
I want the digital lap counter to time solo events, like going thru cones and then completeing the course in the fastest time
Rubber Track???
I seen a guy on Ebay selling these rubber mats that were cut out to form a track, has anyone here tried that?
Thanks

Those sets are useless. They don't do anything, you just drive over them when you go off course.

I dunno what part of new york your in but you can by those foam mats (6 2x2 mats) for $13.99 at bj's wholesale clubs. You can also find them at homedepot for $20 (4 2x2 mats). They are called anti fatigue mats and they are interlockable. I think they are the perfect track surface for the money.
You should take a look at the track forums for ideas on track material and design.

I have seen these mats come in multi colors but they're not bumpy at all. The texture is sorta like suede (sp?). Makes for a good grippy surface.
Here's a pic.
