okay, i'm a HUGE skeptic.
but i figured, "why the heck would someone make this sh1t up?" so i went ahead and joined his imagestation with some BS info. i downloaded the video and i gotta say i'm still unsure BUT
i'm more of a believer than a non-believer, now.
either:
this guy is legit (the video is pretty darn convincing)
OR
this guy is such a loser that he went thru a LOT of trouble to do this hoax
i'm leaning towards this guy being legit.
fyi - the video shows him charging a bit and messing around with the buttons so much that it would be hard to add the music while recording. he 'could' have edited it with some video making software, but it would take at least a little work to blend with the background noises, there would be at least a little bit of audible hints, and it would have been more trouble than it's worth for having so little to gain.
i'm giving him the benefit of the doubt here, but if it's not then like Modjo said, "really doesn't bother me."
i guess - congrats on the mod discovery, bitcharej!

another thought:
I'm still a HUGE skeptic. So I took a look at the video again....
The sound is pretty darn strong making me believe he could've set up a small speaker - I have a hard time believing the controller's pcb has anything that could generate that sound.
So, my 'theory' (and it's only a theory):
bitcharej, wired his bit steering with a speaker and something to play "Titanic".
If you do watch the clip, you'll notice the sound get very distorted when he removes his hand from the bit front end. This would have me believe the bit needs to be coupled to the controller to produce sound better. Otherwise it vibrates too much and distorts.
In addition, why is the front end of the bit in pieces?
I still have to ask,
Why would someone put that much effort into something? I feel like I wasted 5 minutes analyzing it! Attention whore? Latch-key kid? Poor social skills? Lack of self-esteem? ...
again, only "theories". I hope I'm wrong.

<(YOU GUYS ARE FULL OF IT!!!)
ALL YOU GUYS WHO DON'T BELIEVE ME ARE FULL OF IT!!!, especial you strider_mt2k. I swear to GOD! I didn't make up this $#!T!! I got one of my friends (rockhopper2021) to post a message that he has seen my mod and no I didn't create that username (rockhopper2021) he actually exist. That is ACTUAL footage of my controller on imagestation.com. It haven't did any video editing what so ever! What the hell, I don't even have the skills to do that. Like my friend said I was a repair technichian @ his RC shop and I worked with these RC for over a year and a half now, I bet you don't even know about the battery LED indicator mod on your car. The reason why the sound was distorted when I release my hand on the turning button was, because I was showing you how the song starts when I pressed one of the turning buttons. I took the car apart , because it is actually louder when I do it that way. It has something to do w/ the magnet. When I take the magnet out of the car it doesn't play that ringtone. If you guys still don't believe me I'm gonna have to make another video and go through all that work and disect my contoller and show you that I have no built in speakers or whatever you think makes my controller make that ringtone.
[4BAND CONTROLLER]:

-Telescopic antenna
-Assorted decals (Skyline,4band and Hiroto)
-Wrist strap
-Timing capacitor
-Ringtone (w/ a car charge and a press on a turning button)

How dare we make you do all that work to make you back up your outrageous claim!
What were we thinking?
Next time someone comes up with a story that defies the laws of physics I'll have to be more trusting!

First of all, check out my profile if you want to know how old I am.
I've been working with elecronics or at least electrical stuff quite possibly longer than you have been on this earth.
Second of all, it's not up to me to prove he's wrong, since he made the claim to begin with.
It's up to him to back up his claims.
Thirdly, this is a forum, and the same opportunity afforded him to make said claims is afforded anyone who dissagrees.
Lastly, a 12 year old girl, given the same knowledge, might just make the same statements I have made, confronted with such an outrageous (and AS YET STILL UNPROVEN) claim.
This wouldn't reduce the merit of those statements thus far, nor would it be grounds for an assumption of mental instability.
I am amused, but I no longer think he is the only one full of crap.

i think ej has proven enough
with his knowledge for bitchar-g,
his instructions to do the mod,
his video,
and a witness.
ej put out this mod for all of the
bitchar-g fans out there...
so if you dont want to appreciate it
or give him thanks...
so be it.
we will see who has the last laugh.
and knightrider...

Exactly how many people have reported in on this so far?
Instead of hysterics, how about some nice, refreshing facts?
