On hardwood you need soft tires
Have you tried the red set yet?

Try some experimenting
You have two choices:
1) race on different surfaces
2) mess with the tires
1 -- hard wood is the worst. It's like ice racing. Try other surfaces. Get some asphault roof paper and race on that or some old linoleum or outdoor carpetting.
2 -- if you can't get the soft tires anytime soon, get the microsizer tire set and put the hard ones on your front tires. Or, get one of those pens with a funky rubber grip and try making your own back tires. Or try making the back tires sticky. Maybe with hairspray or rubber cement.
You know what the problem is. Now try messing with stuff until you like it. That's true spirit of micro RC.

again you could get pullback wheels. they are a lot wider and grip much nicer than the skinny wagon wheels that come with bits.

They are not RC cars
They are the kind of cars that you pull backward and let go. But they're made by Tomy, so the bodies work for Bits. Also the back tires are wider than bit tires. You can take them apart and build them onto bit axles for better handling. Or you can buy them pre modded at:

They don't look as wide
The wide tires in back is what helps you stop spinning. More surface area = more traction.
But they sure do look cool! You should search these forums for custom tires and look on the qfm site for info on making your own tire. I know someone posted a howto for making the pull back tire mod.
