France (The axis of WEASELS) has more interests in this country then one would think. They sell approx. 24 billion dollars worth of goods a year in the U.S.
The tv station USA is French owned (seriously!!!!)
Same company owns Universal Studios
They have several wines of course
Evian water
certain Cheeses
....and anything else with the Made in France label.

FYI: In a boycott, you're not supposed to boycott items you've already bought. It's purpose is to slow down the money that is getting sent to countries that defend other countries that hate us. For those that say France is our friend, ask the American tourists who can't even get seated in a bistro over there now. They're spitting on us and boycotting our products already. One thing France does better then America is stick together.
Obviously, there are going to be things I can't live without that are made in or benefit an opposing country. These countries provide products that we may not be able to replace with an American or allied product. What I'm saying is I WILL and CAN give up the little things. If I'm picking up some bottled water, am I going to buy Evian or Arrowhead? If I want to have a romantic night with the Mrs. do I buy French wine or wine from Napa? Do I buy fancy chocolate or a KitKat? Am i going to go to Universal Studios or Disneyland? Should I watch cheesy family movies on USA or real movies on HBO? These are simple things I can give up. If this is wrong and I shouldn't go out of my way to buy American when we sell comparable if not better products, tell me exactly why. I'm not telling anyone to do this. This is just what I'm doing to support my country and our troops at these difficult times.
Saddam is just one more dictator that France wants to bend over for!

Just a small question!!!
Shouldn't you boycott peolpe that want war and not people that don't want war???
Whean someone doesn't want s war there is no reason to boycot him since even if you don't like his doing the correct thing...
plus boycotting soecific items doesn't in our ages since big companies covering many countries are no more easily identified as...country-specific!
just food for thought...

I appologize...Some of you may have been too young to remember Desert Storm. You might also be too young to remember what Saddam did to his own people and his surrounding neighbors. You might also fail to realize that Chirac is good friends with Saddam (he went on record and called him his friends for those that didn't know). He wasn't trying to prevent war. He was trying to keep one of his closest allies in control. One that shares his hatred for the U.S.. Think what you will, but nothing you say will convince me to buy French products. Criticize and make jokes about my stance all you want. I'm not the problem! Those who can't see France and what they did at the UN as harm to America needs a history lesson.
China's concern for the war does seem more sincere then France'. Even though I've already mentioned it in this thread, I'll mention it again...My PERSONAL boycott on bits has been lifted. No more sanctions, but these purchases will only be done in the US. No more purchases from overseas for the time being. Even though the top of the bit pyramid resides in China, it can't hurt our economy by buying them from local merchants. Especially since some mark them up by 50% in some cases. LOL

The comparison was being made to Universal Studios, which is French owned. I was simply stating that I'd easily choose Disneyland over Universal Studios if I was planning a family vacation.

So, A countries government is against the immediate use of force in Iraq? Must we go out of our way to make sure that French civilians begin to bring in less revenue? Must everyone agree with us or pay for it?
On second thought, I dislike the French. They do have accents.
What is that stench?
It is the French.
Freedom kisses for all.

So what you're saying here is I should hold all my orders from china so I don't support them. I get it. Buy from American companies like Tiny RC, right?
Okay genius, I wonder where Tiny get's their product. Don't you think maybe buying Asian products from Tiny will cause them to order more products from Asia? You are like the smartest guy I know. Wow it's so clear to me now.
You narrow minded fool!!!
I hope Tiny deletes this thread because now you are doing post after post of this rediculous circle that you're running in. "I can't buy stuff from China, but the computer I am typing on is from there, and the computer that is firing the missles that protect us right now are from there also."
Hey man, if you find an American made Bit that performs like the others, I'm in. This forum is about little cars. Why can't you keep it that way? There are other forums about boycott's and picketting. Go join them. I don't want to discourage you from this forum. I like reading your posts, but this one is not on topic.
(add edit)-don't ever respond as I did here. It's extremely juvenile and difficult to live down.
