Just bought the Humvee, same quirks as Sezziz10 had w/ body removal and so on but... did you notice the stand alone charger is using 3xAAA (4.5v) for 1 minute! Gets you thinking...how? why? and if you dual cell the thing how much too add if any? Of course now the dual celled Bit's have a pre man'd charger stand ready to go!

The humvee I purchased is a bit bullet clone (bensu). The one you're talking about is most likely a motorworks car wich is more of a zcar clone. The reason I say this is because the bullet clone doesn't have a stand alone charger. It charges on the TX like most other bullet clones and only takes 2xAA.
This is what I purchased and where I purchased mine from.

here are a couple pics. Notice the tx still has a space for the pad.

Thanks for the pics, that's the first time I've seen that.

I have one of those Cannonball clones. It's not the Hummer, but the charge base and radio are identical.

The charge base on mine was only putting out 4.15 volts, with a fresh set of batteries that should have read 1.65. So it was losing a half a volt somewhere. I was also wondering if chargeing at a higher rate would make the car faster, but I found out that the battery only takes about 1.8 volts while chargeing, no matter how much you put into it, and always outputs 1.38 when fully charged. I also found that the base was giving the battery too much of a zap. The runtimes were around a minute, and performance was weak, but that same battery charged with 2 cells, and useing my volt meter to watch for the peak (about 4min.) runs for about 25 min., and is very punchy.

I also have a Motorworks car that has 3 cells in the charger, and does put out the full 4.5 volt. I put some overpriced, high output Rayovac Maximum Plus batteries in it, because they were the only ones I could find, and they blew the NiMH up the second time I charged it.

So 4.5 volts to charge one cell, is bad in my book. The slower you charge the battery, the better the performance, just as a generalized rule.

I really wanted one of those Chevy's BTW. Too bad they are out of stock. I hope they get more.

Oh, i was just wondering if Bensu clones have alluminum rims? Because i was helping my friend fix his bit one day and the rim stuck to the magnet....i was soo amazed..

But i wanted to know ALL bensu clones are like that, or does anyone else have alluminum rims?

Was the pin still in the rim and knuckle when you did this?

ralliart

Wanna buy a set of alum. rims w/ "steel" look finish?
Just kidding... you might want to edit your magnetic aluminum discovery.

I think it might be the pin in the wheel attracting the magnet.
