New Pro and Sport = Death to orriginal MicroSizers?

I just thought I'd ask the opinion of our little comunity. I was wondering if you think the slower Sport the Pros are meant to be a new standard and that the orriginal sets are going to be phased out soon. I notied too that the Automodelista is going to have boost controller just like the Pro. I would appreciate any input.

I think what happened is that Tomy over priced these cars, and when the clone makers stepped up and sold cars of near-quality and sometimes the same for half the price (OR LESS!), it totally kicked their butts!

This is an effort to regain the HUGE market share they lost to the clone makers.
I say bring on the cheap Tomys! I'm just gonna mod 'em anyway!

I don't think that they'll drop the line. There are still differences between the lines, and that gives options;

Entry level = sport- 1.6, 1 translucent body, controller
Mid = OG MS - 2.2, 1 painted body, controller
Pro = name says it all - 2.2, 2 bodies (1 painted 1 clear), controller, boost capabilities

Hopefully they'll be doing a little price re-structuring to stay competitive! IMO they made a good choice, price wise, when they intro'd the Sport line to hold the intrest in their product.

As long as they still offer the bodies from the originals, I won't have any reason to complain

Of course I have a Red Lancer Evo MS on the way, which was the only one I really wanted
