The Fastest bit competiton

Ok
i have been thinkin i have a 3.8 and getting 2 160nimh cells.
If u people have a digital camera what you need to do is measure out a straight line of 1 meter then blow your car down it.(not literally blow but u know what i mean)
so when i get mine i hope to beet yours but i doubt it.
p.s i have seen those carpet runners forum bit.
those things will probably blow away all our cars.
so come on roll up roll up come and put your speedin movies up.
GO ON U KNOW U WANT TO.

got BITS,
If you feed birds ALKA SELTZER tablets they BLOW up. Their bodies cannot process the gas and BAM! Disclaimer: In no way do I condone or engage in these activities. This is for INFORMATIONAL purposes only. Go to the beach and toss some up to the seagulls and watch the horror

that's pretty sick. Not as sick as bird poop, but close. As for speed it would be pretty cool if someone built a miniature radar gun or some sort of speed measuring equipment.
I suck at math so doing it mathematically would kill my brain

We already discussed this somewhere, right? Look up "2 second scale 1/4 mile times" on the forum. My 3 cell civic runs 7.8mph (on a treadmill) and does the scale 1/4 mile (20.5 feet) in 1.9 seconds from a dead stop.

Yeah, I know it sounds like BS, but there are vid's on that thread if you wanna see them.

And by the way, don't do just a meter. What can you get done in a meter? Do like 7 meters.

And one more thing...

I don't have much fun with a 3 cell car unless it is a Zip Zap or Epoch, because they are more difficult to keep under control. You can fit the cells in the belly so it doesn't flip over.

Your setup with the 2x 160's is great for all around Bit (1/70 scale) fun.

And one more thing...

If you want to push the limits of reality, try to run a different pcb and motor, like out of an Epoch. You may somehow be able to get them to fit. Then you could go like 20mph. It wouldn't be any fun though, cause if you turned it would barrell roll on ya.

Ya know... If I go flat out with my 3 cell Zap and turn, it's sure to roll, but the funny thing is, it usually lands on it's wheels because of the placement of the cells. You can just keep on goin'.

chelboed what motor did you use for the 2sec 1/4 mile (20ft)?
I use the turbo in my 3 cell and I get a 4 sec 1/4 easy.

I use a clone motor that looks kinda like an R-spec, and kinda like a Zap motor. It has great torque and it's prrobably somewhere around a 3.2, but when you add 2 more cells, it's like a 7.0.

high speed

my laymans tricell car ran a .88 12 foot time and a .89 12 foot time. It had a 4-6 foot speed up before the actual start. Only problem is... It only runs for 1.5 minutes and only 30 seconds worth of really really fast time. BTW It topped out at 7.6 mph... I am going to do a laymans quad cell soon and see if it is possible to run upwards of 8.5 mph. My car doesnt flip unless I am pushing it too hard... or hit a medium sized bump.

pullback wheels
suspension
epoxied rear axle with teflon inside

i dont think i can outdo chelboed in a drag but in a 5foot race id kill you all. i can run anything over. if it cant run it over it bounces off and flips. luckily i have played a lot of gta.
