Mad Max
Hello All, I remember the Mad Max car, I think it was an Australian built car with a Supercharged Dodge Hemi motor in it, I don't remember the car brand just how cool it was when he flipped the switch to the blower - Rocket Sled - Regards, Szandor

mods to m.w. car (truck)
well I took 2 motorworks cars, dismantled 1. so i could do the dual batt. mod and stripped the motor too. on the second car I did the batt mod, wired in the spare motor chopped the ass end off the "junk" car and proceeded to make a motorworks semi truck. boy o boy does it tear across the kitchen floor!! dont have a cam yet but its on its way. hope to post pics soon.it has a motor for each rear axel. slings my trailer around, w/ 3 rcs on it like a rag doll!!!

mw truck
I used a hot wheels pavment pounders series truck cab. I used a flat nose black cab. look at thread " my rig watcha think" it has a picture of the cab i used. thers also a link on that to see more pavement pounders trucks. used the flat one cause the selection in alaska sucks. its hard to get stuff here. I had a hell of a time finding 24-26 ga wire. ended up buying phone cable to pull wires from. but that gave me 4 colors of wire.

I just got one of the new MW cars. The black and white one with the #3 on it. I must say that I am pleasantly surprised. Not bad at all. The only experience I've had w/ MW was one of the piece of s--t motorcycles they had out a few months ago. These new cars kick @$$! I love the new tire and rim selection. Knobby's rule!Overall, the quality is good. I ran it on carpet and it flies!
Anyway, that's my $0.02. Go out and get one a.s.a.p.

You guys keep mentioning the Mad Max thing. The Motorworks car that started this thread is a copy of a late 60's/early 70's Plymouth Superbird/Dodge Daytona Charger. Back then the body style on these oval track cars was basically the same. They have a severe bullet nose, and towel rack spoiler.
The Mad Max car was a Chrysler product, but not like we see in the United States. Australian Dodge/Plymouth/Chryslers were a mixture of body molds and tooling left-over from our stuff post production. They came out with some awesome looking little body styles, and still had the high compression motors through '72 vs. '71 for the U.S.

nothing to add.....Oh yea...
I picked up my New Motor Works Truck today at my local walmart.
Nothing to add, that hasn't already been said.
Except. The Old Motor Works (oval dome) did not run on the same frequency (at least the 49MHz) as the Microsizers 49MHz.
But the new motor works do. I charged up both 49MHz old and new...and could run them together without interference.

I'm pretty sure that the car in mad max was an austrailian ford atb falcon. I work on big cars to but i'm a chevy guy so i don't know my fords that well but there was a clone of the mad max car in carcraft a couple of years ago and it was a ford car it had a 460 in it. I'm going to look for some of the new motor works cars this weekend the walmart in Fond du Lac only had the old ones.

The black interceptor in Mad Max was a '72 Ford Falcon XB. It was only made in Australia.
I bought one of the new Motor Works cars yesterday and was presently suprised at how good they are! I have the black one like pictured in the begining of the thread but the windows and hood are translucent orange, looks sweet!
