I've got a website nearly done and of course as soon as the Mustang's done and I make enough surplus bodies (10 or so) then I can officially be open for business. I'm giving myself a deadline of a week.
Then, I've been working on new techniques to help me build the master bodies and molds quicker so expect a new body at least every month. I'd like to say expect new ones every week, but that would be pushing it. BTW after the 'Stang I'm going to push back the other bodies I've been working on and plan to do the 'old school' VW Beetle. Expect the Beetle a month from today at the latest... but nothing is set in stone, I could quit by Tuesday!

Are you thinking 1950's split-window? Stock body or baja fenders?

I gave myself a deadline of a week... and here it is a week later and I'm still not done. I redid both sides of the Mustang, the front bumper, and cleaned up the inside of the shell. Still need to add windows, front grill, headlights, side mirrors, and do a complete once-over to clean everything up.
So, I'm giving myself another deadline of a week for a completed production mold and 10 copies... otherwise I'm going to fire myself!

Originally, I wanted to produce finished cars that are painted one color, understanding that some people don't/can't paint shells and some people like to finish themselves. However, once the mold is completed; casting the shells in plastic is the easy part. Prepping for paint, plus the drying time, masking or adding decals would take alot of extra time per car. So, maybe I can do a custom shell for each order that could include: paint, decals, or even location of the hole for the antenna.
Which brings us to, the shells themselves. I think I stated before in this thread that I would be using a light-tan casting resin. This would mean the window areas and headlight/taillight would have to be painted, this could really slow down car production (and increase cost). I have clear casting resin, but this is a little harder to work with, because in order for it to be totally clear it has to be cast and put into a vacuum or presure system to remove tiny air holes that form in the resin as it cures in the mold. This won't be a problem once I get a $150 presure tank and an air compressor or at least access to one. But I've tried casting without such a system and it's not too bad as far as tiny bubbles go. So, I guess I'll have to wait and see what I can or can't do and go from there.
Ohh.. I really didn't answer your question... Yes!

Thanks. And can we pay you even more to do body mods? I.E converting the Fastback into a convertible.

Well, I will consider doing what I can and prices will be negotiable above and beyond a standard shell which will be $10 unpainted.
