SUCCESS!!
YES!!! The clear coat didn't melt the decals! (THANK THE LORD!) Now I can't wait to cut them out, and slap 'em on the car . By the way, here is the layout (if you think the other image was too blury) and you can see that very little of the quality is diminished, making a great pair of decals! By the way, I just tested them by taking a wet cloth to a portion of the smeared parts, and the clear coat seems to be holding! YES!

UPDATE!
~ Ah, the decals are on the car, but I feel that there is a little bit of a shortage of them, so I am going to make more. I have not taken any pictures yet, because it doesn't look THAT great at the moment, but will look better with more decals. Thats it for now!~

the decals are looking good. i myself have made a bunch.. i have been making everything from window decals, which use a font thats about 1.5 mm tall, and is perfectly readable, to doing cool emblems like the ferrari and porshe, bmw. and others, and all of them come out remarkably good. i dont know how yours were smearing, but i do know it takes a while for the ink to completely dry on the paper.
suggestion: if you have to cut through a printed portion of a decal, to trim it down a bit... make sure you spray some more clear on it. when you cut through an auctual printed area, you break the seal that the clearcoat is providing the ink, thus water can get at theink and it will run, in my case it looked like it kinda just disapeared from the decal, but it was obvious that the ink ran..
im making my decals with photoshop, at 600dpi. which produces amazing pics on my hp940c printer.

woa!! 5 days for your ink to dry? what kinda printer are you using? you do know that you are supposed to spray with clear on the decal befor you apply.. preferably with clear acrylic, not enamel. i usually let them dry for about an hour tops... and then spray one very light coat on.. wait an hour, and spray one nice even coat on. i have yet to have ink run like your talking about. humm i wonder if its your printer ink?

I'm using just a regular printer, but I think the ink is really weird. I like your suggestion, and I think I'll put another coat when the first coat dries. By the way, I just printed out another batch of decals, and they are looking good. I will post some pictures at the end of the week, or when I get time to...

Okay, I just put on the last coat of Clear coat on the car. Now, I am still waiting for it to dry at this time, however, I will be taking pictures soon.

Okay, here is the moment you've all been waiting for... (Please take note that the paint is still wet, so I couldn't get the BEST pictures, and I can't put it on its chassis yet.)
