Lightbulb Dragster Mod

I may just be an idiot but here it goes. I have been trying to get my dragster to go straigth for weeks. I had spring suspension , tried all the suspension arms, and tire combos and nothing worked until.... I completely did away with my suspension. I go perfectly straight now. Steering right and left at high speeds with no suspension makes the car correct slightly to the sides but not turn entirely. Maybe I am the only one who has not thought of this before now but it really works well.

cool. i like springs because my car doesnt jump allover the place on carpet but if it works for you word up.

you can also try more weight over the rear. that helps on wood surfaces.

smart idea! it's hella better than those dumbass kids who tell everyone to cut their steering springs when making a dragster

I would also like to say that the formula 34 engine is absolutely amazing and has crazy acceleration and torque for a 34000 rpm motor. i have to use top end gears to keep my wheels from spinning out

If anyone has helpfull hints for making a better dragster let me know

no where can i check it out... do you have a link? Btw i ran my car 23 feet starting dead still and got a time of 3.54s over my 23 foot course which averages out to 4.42 mph which i dont think is bad for a car with one cell... that is the stock cell. I also would appreciate any tips on how to get more speed from your car. I am buying a 150nimh cell for my dragster now. WIth only one cell, will my car go any faster?? THese may be stupid questions but i need answers... and what pray tell is a wheelie bar??

If you're interested. They are posting a dragster mod this weekend at RC mod.com .

The wheelie bar is actually an extra piece that used to come with some Bit bodies. It was to be attached to the front of the car to keep it from getting damaged when it went along the rails on the track. It would also keep the car from getting hung up as you went around a corner too fast. Now people attach the wheelie bar with a micro screw to the back of the car to give the car a pro dragster look or as storage for an extra battery cell or two. They look real nice once they are installed. It's also a very easy mod to do.

You can buy a wheelie bar from RCmod. You have to contact the admin at: info@rcmod.com to buy it. It's not in the store yet.

Get the edge of a dremel cutting disc (WITHOUT THE DREMEL -JUST HOLD IT WITH UR HAND) the red ish brown one,

and hold the edge of the disc flat against the rear wheels, one at a time whilst they spin,

this will remove the sheen, andd now u will find that the dragster goes straight.

My tri cell custom chassis bit wouldnt go straight, till I did this!
