zipzaps = slow
bits(when i say bits i mean clones/tomy/hobbico)= fast

zipzaps = stupid bodies
bits = better bodies but no muscle cars

zipzaps = sold by radioshack
bits = not sold by radioshack

thats enough reasons for now

Now that ZZ's have fixed their PCB's...it's not even close. I like them both, but for mod'ing, adding more bats, better control at high speeds, the ZZ cleans house. But, a Bit/Sizer with a stretched chassis would make me reconsider.

There seems to be 3 ZZ board revisions (breeze over to the ZZ Forum for more info).

The first generation (which sadly is what I have) is the one that chokes when a motor wants more than 120mA of juice (I've tested this)

but the new revision boards are said to be able to handle much higher demands on mA...Which I ain't gonna bother wasting the money to get (I've got enough cars!) to test.

I wouldn't say "fixed", but it seems improved. It already quicker than my old one that I'd done the resistor PCB mod to, and my new one was running circles around it.

I just got it last night, more testing is in order.

I'm starting to lean towards Zip Zaps, after what I've come up with this evening. I posted my results here: http://tinyrc.com/forums/showthread....&threadid=8315

I still prefer my Bit and Microsizer, for crazy fast fun, but now that I have I Zip Zap that is nearly as fast, I'm prefering the scale looks, the cool swappable hubcaps, being readily available with hopups (if you can find the hop ups )on every other street corner, better dollar value, you can fit 2 batteries in the tub, you can fit you favorite die cast muscle car body on it, and they handle better. Good thing my Bit is still slightly faster, (or so it seems ) or I might just go and vote for Zip Zaps.

Dave

I use a zip for racing and a bit for playing. I just don't like the handelling of bits on track. Before you little kids start getting clannish, this is just my prefrence, just like hogjowls prefrence for clones.

I love them Bit Char-G Pullbacks!!!

Its essentially Bit Char-G so my vote goes to bits. I hope TOMY releases more pullback collections besides the z and that concept car.
