Atttention Wal-Mart Shoppers!
Well, after three (count em' three!) Wal-marts and two hours on the road, I STILL can't seem to lay my hands on a Motorworks clone. I've heard lucky members on the forum say that they've seen dozens of them on the shelves at their local Wal-Mart. Would any kind soul out there be willing to pick up a couple of them for me and ship them out? I will gladly cover all expenses. Maybe I can return the favor. My local hobbyshop and Target has MS's in stock ($20 at Target!), and Walgreens has clones with the alleged ZipZap NOS pink endbell s-thingy OEM motor.
Thanks in advance for any assistance!!!

I might be able to help you. Send me an email with your location and exactly how many you want (don't go nuts on me though) I haven't been to walmart in about a week but last I was there they had plenty, well atleast 50 cars.

Cant reach you
sessiz,
Can't email you though the board (it's disabled). I've enabled mine, so if you want to shoot me out an empty test message, I'll get right back to you with details.
Thanks for the help!!!!

motorworks sucks
I bought one of those motorworks clones from Wal mart and was the worst. A.) the turning radius is huge and the car couldn't make the turns on my track. B.) the motor burned out after using it five times. The pinion shaft physically let loose from the windings and pulled out. Don't waste your money....

HCW3...
sounds like you are left with the best part, the PCB board and controler from your Motorworks...
Do yourself a favor and swap that PCB into a ZIP-ZAP and then duel cell it....
Super fast..I just put an r-spec in mine and it flies, anything faster would be uncontrollable...
Zip-Zap F&F orange body & frame
Zip Zap steering
Motorworks PCB
Blue 12/1 gears
Two 1.4 150mah NiMH Batts
Custom antena
R-Spec motor
Fastest so far out of three I've built..

Just make sure it's an older ZipZap. We have to be careful what Zip PCB's they're pulling out. The new ones work absolutely GREAT with dual batts and even the li-poly batt.

The last mod was from a Zip I just bought, one of the new body styles....Put a Motorworks PCB in it..
The combination duellbatts/r-spec/12-1 gears makes it fly..

dood, my motor works clone was my first mini rc. its actually a great clone. its fast, has a nihm battery, and its only 13 bucks.
the only problem is you can really swap out anything. but i actually saw nefarious turn his into a really mean lookin clone. dual batt and dual motor!
heres a vid of mine:

walmart...what a bad place..
I have three motor works clones, and they all work fine.
Still going strong and fast for $13.
The do have a very wide radius for turning.

I didn't say they were bad cars...I still have three brand new ones in the cases.
I think we were talking about speed and looks. Because of the short wheelbase they are very unstable at super high speeds, flip, roll and hard to control. Very close to the bits and the microsizers after a duel setup. Just putting an r-spec motor in one of my microsizers made it very difficult to keep straight.
I agree with you, the Motorworks Clone is faster, cheaper and has a better range than most microsizers and bits (out of the box), but if you want stabilty at high speeds, better looks, more room to duel cell and the ability to change motors easily, try the Zip/Motorworks combo.....not to mention a much faster car...
to each his own....
PS..I couldn't open your video dood..
