I`ve got the Auto Modellista set with a 3.0 Tomy motor. It`s too slow unboosted but it`s a flyer with boost. Does continually holding the boost button down damage the Bit? t the moment it`s the only way i can keep up on the tabletop track, but i`m a little concerned about burning something out. I know it`s just a voltage limiter and unboosted cars can run twice the voltage (dual cell). I just want to be sure i`m not gonna do it a nasty as these sets aren`t cheap!.

No you won't burn anything out by running it boosted all the time. In fact the 4 channel multi-controller has an option to allow you to run your booster in boost-mode constantly (i.e. you don't have to hold down the button). So no you won't burn anything out (as far as PCB) but it WILL shorten the life of the motor.
