You have to keep a very close eye on the batteries with the 9v. I've found that two 30 second charge sessions does the job very well. Don't let the batteries overheat.
I've retired this car for now. I'm working on other multi-cell combos. I'll have a li-poly powered pickup to show off in March if all goes well.

i was doin about 1 min then like another 10-20 sec after the 9v cooled a bit. ill try two shorter bursts. thanks!

Bomex- that S2k is NICE!!!! how did you lower it with the FS wheel mod? how much of the body did you have to dremel?

It was my first dual cell mod, it turned out better than I thought it would. When I first looked at the S-2000 and imagined how that battery would look, it was just an ugly picture! lol
but all in all, turned out great, I love it for poppin wheelies and blasting through shtuff.

the body is real wide, so it's easy to lower, and is still fully functional

yeah, I removed a bit of plastic around the inside of the wheelwells, you can see in the pic, where the plastic is a little white, but I honestly don't think I needed to, just so long as it is on the microsizer chassis (a little less wider than shen chassis)
