Micro Elite Modified Motor
Since I upgraded my Micro RS4 to a Speed 300 motor, I found that my Team Orion Elite Modified Motor is just collecting dust.
Would the Elite Modified Motor fit into my new X4?

Probably.. I have the Elite "stock" in mine....but the size of the Elite mod should allow it to fit

I guess that I'm answering my own question here but FYI, the Elite Modified DOES fit into the X4 easily.
It was the first motor that I put into my X4 BUT it was WAAAAYYY too fast. The Team Orion Elite Modified has (w/ my 7.4v Li-Ion battery) too much power and speed for the small track (with quite a few turns) that I race at.
If you're interested in drag racing, the Elite Modified is the ONLY way to go, but, for small tracks w/ multiple turns, it's too powerful.

The TO Elite Modified fits without modification.
If your LHS has any parts for the HPI Micro RS4, they'll probably have a TO Elite Mod motor. The Team Orion website will have some info on it also.
At the yourmicro.com forum, do a search for Elite Modified and you'll also find quite a few threads about this motor - as used in the Micro RS4's though.

That's not it.
That's the Team Orion Micro Elite STOCK motor.
Here's a LINK to the Team Orion Micro Elite MODIFIED Motor.
The Elite MODIFIED motor is a coreless motor that is more efficient and powerful than the Elite STOCK motor you have.

Nope, further modification is not necessary. Just make sure that when you mount the motor, it is not rubbing against the main drive shaft.
