Motorized Steering

I was thinking of making a rack and pinion steering for my bit, using the motor to drive it. I know the voltage to the steering coils is weak, but my bro knows a lot about electronics so he'll help me provide extra voltage.

Some pluses i have thought of are the radius of turns could be varied and since the motor would be stronger, the centering spring could be stronger making it easier to go straight.

My question is, would it be worth it to have motorized steering?

Not really, unless you use a servo or something. You'd also need an entirley different radio setup. Guess it could be done.

what do you mean entirely different radio setup? I could just use the left and rite buttons. I was thinking of a transistor circuit of some sort, that would be activated by the car's left and rite, to provide the power.

That idea would be greet for my monster bit. since the steering in it now would be too weak.
