Hi,
nice trucks, but think about. A long frame and 3 axles means a wide circle of turning.
And the modellrailroad layout have often very hard turns and small roads. Our TTTT-layouts also not a kind of highways.
Thats why the short 2-axle unimog is still my favorite car.
best regards
Thorsten

Hi Overlander,
no problem, I still don't find a "Prolog" until today. The TruckTrial Tatra still waits in my hobbieroom too. But I have the problem to rebuild all the trucks, subs and ships that I have collected here :-)))
Until March 2003 I will finnish my crane. I hope it works. Yesterday I have completed the driveline.
best regards
Thorsten

SPAZ
welcome to the 1:87 craze!
1. thorsten has his site in an english version. very nice. if you go to other german sites, i use google which will translate what it can of the sites.
2. go back and read through the entire thread. i have personaly posted cost estimates as well as others. we have provided helpful links to sites to purchase the trucks, batteries and electronics. not to frighten you away, but these are not cheap. it is well worth the expense though.
this thread has gotten so long, it's been a while since i've gone back to read some earlier pages and asked questions that have already been answered, sorry overlander.
this thread should pretty much give you everything you'll need to know to build yourself one of these amazing little things. good luck!

Arch,
No need to apologize. I am happy to re-answer any questions. I may refer people to the original post sometimes, just to save typing time.
As you mentioned, Thorsten's site http://www.mikromodell.de/ is also a great source of information and insperation.
I have got some valuable links from you too. You seem to have found some great resouces for parts online.
I have been lucky with my LSHs. Actually, my LSHs consist of about 5 different stores spread across about 160 miles from Mountain View, CA in he Bay Area, to Sacramento in the central valley.
I have orderded truck bodies from www.discounttrainsonline.com which you found and posted. They definitely have the best prices I have found.
Trapped in a freakin' hotel,
-Todd
