Lightbulb Anti-Snap antenna Mod

Have you ever extended your stock antenna to come straight out of the back instead of wrapping around the circuit board (PVC or PCV or whatever. Sorry, I'm new), and since you didn't have the anti-snap knot holding it in, had it snap off with a weak pull?? Well have I got a simple mod for you! Just run the antenna straight out the back, and run it through one of the holes on the heatsink. I did this on mine, and I bravely(stupidly) pulled it pretty hard, and it stayed in! Let me know how this works out for you guys!

i usually loosly coil mine and tape it to the heat sink so its not resting above the pcb(interference). im telling you they handle a lot better without that weight sticking out.

When I installed my solid core antenna I:

A) Installed it in the original PCB hole

B) Routed the wire out the back, but then took it up and around the wire clip built into the PCB cover before taking it up and out.

C) Stopped picking my car up by the antenna

No problems so far.

GJ hogjowlz. I didn't know that the antenna above the PCB could cause interference. I'll have to try that.
