MicroSizer Sports
I happened to take the day off from work and while doing some running around. I found the new MicroSizer Sports at Target.
I only found 4 different body colors - yellow, blue, pink & purple (The Microsizer website doesn't list the pink nor did I see the green or frost(?)). I picked up the 49MHz purple car. They come pre-assembled except for the body and it lists a 1.6 motor (thought they would be 2.0 or better). The box is smaller and the remote is hidden under one end and isn't even in the plastic tray any longer (it is just wedged in there with cardboard inserts). The really good news is that they now list for $19.95.

No it's not a clone, it's a less expensive model put out by Hobbico... to compete with the price of other micro r/c's like clones and ZZ. Which is cool cause the quality is still there!

So I guess the only thing that is different between a "regular" MS and a "sport" is a painted body and a 2.2 vs. a 1.6 motor?

Pretty much.
The chassis is identical, but is pre-assembled. The controller is the same.
The MS Sport does not include the punch out "street signs" found in the regular MicroSizer packages.

The only difference i see between the Microsizers Sport and the original Microsizers is the fact that Sport has a 1.6 motor instead of the usual 2.0 stock

Thanx!
So here is the general rundown of MS products..
MicroSizers "full car sets" Include chassis, painted bodies, transmitter, and 2.0 motor. ($29.99)
MicroSizers "speed sets" Include a chassis, clear body, 2.6 motor, and NO transmitter. ($17.99)
MicroSizers "sport sets" Include a chassis, tinted bodies (not painted), 1.6 motor, and transmitter. ($19.99)
Sounds like the "speed set" is the best deal, especially if you already have bodies and an appropriate controller. The "sport" sounds good if you already have some motors and bodies, but still need a controller.
Great Planes/Hobbico should start making some "US only" bodies for the Bits. American muscle cars would be a good start. Looks like we are just getting a small sample of what's available in Japan. The Tower Hobbies/Hobbico ad says "R/C MicroSizers are “goes-anywhere” R/C at its least expensive — and they’re available with some of the hottest body styles on the road today. There’s the Honda S2000, the Mitsubishi Lancer, Skyline and four more." - I didn't realize that I could buy a Nissan Skyline or a Toyota bB open deck here in the states.

It's the same as a MicroSizer, because it's identical.
The difference is in packaging and accessories. The "guts" are the same.

The "Sport" S2000's just showed up at my local Target stores.
In 49 mhz only, I will probably pick up a few just for the chassis (to go on the pullback Truenos and 2000 GT-R that are on their way to me ). The stock transparent S2000 bodies just don't turn my crank at all.
I too would like to know what Hobbico means by the "Pro" series of cars.
