the 3.8 is really slow w/o boost.
it seems tehh fastere the motor, the bigger difference between boosted/unboosted speeds. either way, nothing is considered fast without boost. .
2.6 is one of my faves for the boosted, as well as the zz nos, mainly due to the difference in boost and no boost is close enough to be usable on a track.
I would make a chart, but i don't have enough resources and time right now to do them all, plus my booster got stepped on the other day, and i have to do another pcb transfer (first one was when doing my zz pcb xfer, I accidentally used my reference car's pcb whhich was wrong frequency.....DOH!)

I run a bitmod1 3.5 motor in my Fairlady Z booster car. Pretty slow unboosted, maybe like 1.0. Hit the boost, and it is insanely fast! I love it!

I have both R-spec that I bought and some torque motor that toyeast was selling.
R-spec is pretty damn slow unboosted and boosted is like 3.8.
I noticed a little more torque than my 3.8 but not too much.
This torque motor I have tho is insane compared to all my motors. Unboosted is almost like 2.2 top speed and boosted is just damn fast .
Motors can be different tho even between the same grade.
My 2.2 in my 350Z was ok but the 2.2 in my auto modelista had a lot more torque and speed. If i reversed then quickly accelerate the front wheels would come off the ground for half a second.

<------ Watch out! noob with questions...
Can someone explain how the Boost button works. Is it a separate button from the directional controls (up, down, left, right)? Where is it on the controller? Can you simply leave the boost on while u drive? Thanks.

there is extra button on top above steering button for turbo
there is switch on back with A'B'C
B= works car slow untill turbo pressed then it goes flat out
C= works car flat out as normal car (turbo button does nothing)

Where do they carry these? Anyone else have experience with this motor?

Now unboosted does anyone notice more torque? I mean even tho a r-spec is 1.0 or so without boost does that increase the torque , or can it? Maybe that is the real benny faster start up then POWA boost in the straight aways? My Z hasnt gotten here yet , should be anyday now /shivers. It will be perfect once I throw away the nissan body and put a custom WRX on it
Id like to see a boost car with a 2 motor mod, see if could start up with high torque then a speed engine.Wonder if there is even away to make that work

This page does a good job of explaining how the booster function works.
http://members.aol.com/rchelicam/microszr/microszr.htm
I would conclude that the booster RX PCB is more efficient at full speed than the std RX PCB.
