Well, to be honest, I own both cars. The Micro is a great car, but you have to learn how to maintain and set it up properly. Otherwise, it won't perform well. The car is VERY sensitive to the setup. One bad choice in the selection of parts and the whole package won't perform.
The BRP SC18 handles really well out of the box! The only time I needed to upgrade to the Orion BB motor was when the competition (Micro RS4 racers) started using Orion Elite motors! Other than that, I used the stock motor against them ever since! GPM High Torque motors, Orion Mods... none of them could keep up.
To this day, the only thing I've broken on the car was the ball diff. I hit (at full speed) a track barrier at a bad angle and it bent. I tried to bend it back and I accidentally snapped it! I just installed a new diff and it was back to racing.
Sure, the Micro has endless Hop Ups to choose from... But, that's because it needs it. The SC18 doesn't. From an economic point of view, the SC18 is a great deal that the Micro just can't touch!
More HP to BRP! Way to go Bud!

Ok my bro got a Mrs4, and some of you may know I just don't like AWD, so this looks like its the option....
can you fit anyother body besides the BRP specific ones?
The american bodies are sure ugly....

SC-18 Bodies
Yes you can fit Micro RS4 bodies on the SC-18, just know that the Micro body is not as wide as the SC-18. I have the BRP HPI tire adapters on my SC-18.

Do you have a picture of your chassis like close up?
Also are all MRS4 bodies the samd width? Or are there wider ones that acomidate the BRP?

The Civic is the narrowest body I think. Other bodies like the Stratus are not as narrow. It will take some creative trimming around the wheel’s to fit the SC-18. I have tried the Parma 1/18 bodies and the truck’s fit nicely.

Real KEWL! That's a real race car! Great job on the paint scheme. What brand is the body? That's something I would like to use on my BRP.
