Did you check the front knuckles of your old zip for debris?
What wheels do you have on the new zips?
I found that if there is crap in the knuckles it slows down the zip alot. My first zip with the nos would do a doughnut (kinda) and was fast but I didn't get flipping speeds until I did a pcb swap.
There will be a couple of stock zips tonight that are never touched and I'm picking up another new zip tonight (hopefully) and there will be some serious testing. The way these cars are manufactured there really is no way that 1 zip would be faster than another stock so there must be others. Here's hoping that Rs finally wised up.

Okay My (emphasis on the M and the Y) stock gold civic zip is not any faster than any other stock zip. This leads me to believe that;
1. There is no change in the manufacturing of the zips.
or
2. I got the only bum zip out there.
I went to the RS and I almost bought one more just for the testing but I decided i would spend that $20 on beer.

Taken out how?
Off the line or at the end of the run?
I dunno how you guys test your cars but here's some advice.
You wanna see if the car has more power? Take one motor, a nos if you have it, and use that in both cars. Time it in a straight no less than 10ft. Both cars will have the same setup, tires and gears.
I unfortunatly don't have the stock motor from the new zips (gold civic) so I can't test that. If by the grace of god your new zip is faster than the old one, please post some times. Do not say the differance is noticable, that really doesn't prove anything.
Just a little background on me for all of the new pups. I've raced these cars since sometime in november every weekend, for money, yeah with friends so it's all good. If the new zips are faster stock, and I have a new zip that aint, I wanna know why.

What was the distance of the drag?
The nos is a top end motor so just about any other motor will get the jump on it. Everybody should know that the difference between motors is +/- 2000 rpm so good green would be close or better than a bad turbo. The tests need to be done with the same exact motor on both cars.

I feel like I'm fighting a lost cause here. It really doesn't matter cause tonight the last of my stock zips is getting it's pcb swap.

I understand perfectly well, I just don't trust your methods. You say it's faster, that's cool. I have a gold civic that isn't any faster and I have done a thorough test. I would go buy another one but I really don't need to cause the pcb on the zips is horrible and I would just wind up swapping it out. I also question your comprehension skills cause if you read my posts and understood them you wouldn't keep playing the same song. Maybe you and the few others got a great batch of stock zips, and I wish more than you that RS would fix the pcb, But from what I've gathered they haven't.
To answer your question about the mustang. Go buy 1 and then you'll know.
I asked in one of my posts to post the times of both cars in the straight, did you read that? It's up there look for it.

You're ignorant. We are talking zip zaps, and you pull that out of your @ss. This is a waste of my time. Enjoy yourselves.
