I just had 700 mah Rayovac AAA's from Walmart and their standard charger, so I wanted to see if I could somehow add 2 more cells without having to go to a battery pack. I'm using a model body so the wheelbase is extended, and I'm not using the rear spring, so I've got room behind the ecs to put 2 more batteries. Radio Shack had a double AAA holder that I wired into the - wire from the stock battery tray. It looks something like this:
