i would like to see them for 1.98. but im afraid if i wait they might still dissapear at the 3.98 price. or that all of the ones with the 2.6 motor will be gone. i can live with 3.98 for a motor.
the orange tires work pretty good. theyare the soft ones. the white tires are the hard ones. i have those now but havent tired them yet.
heres another question. i was thinking instead of making my bit contrioller a dual cell turbo charger (2 volt charger for 2 cells in series) why not try to mod the charger in the KIT racer to do this. if it gets fried who cares... has anyone else tried something like this?

I'll be sure to check out Target again in a couple of weeks. Never thought that they might rotate items in and out, but it makes sense.

FINALLY...
....down to $1.98 at my local Target!
I bought the last (9) cars they had remaining; and they all had the orange 2.6 motors!
I got parts for a LONG time now

I agree 10000%
Not including my imported "collector Bits", I have less than $100 into the micro RC hobby - and a bunch of cars to race. It gives me something to do in the "off season". When spring rolls around, I'll be back to racing my 1/10 RC's, but I'm sure the Bits will still get a workout at family "get togethers"! Heck, you can't even buy a good racing ESC with $100.

Anybody seen low prices on the test trax? There's two at my local Wal-Mart, but they're still at $25. I wouldn't mind having one, but I think $25 is a little high.

The Toys-R-Us here in the Princeton area had the test trax for 14.99 on clearance. The original price for the track was $37.99. No wonder they couldn't sell them! My local Target had them for $11.99 before they sold out/removed them.

I checked back at Target and they only had one KIT racing car left. It was laying on the floor. I don't remember which one it was but it had the 2.2 motor, red gearset, and a full set of black tires. I was still marked at $3.whatever, but it scanned $1.98 at the check the price yourself thing so I bought it. They still have plenty of them at my local Wal-Mart, but they're $5.00 now. I'm still waiting to see if they drop any more. The Wal-Mart still has the Trax for $25.00.

Dang! Seems like with all the K-Mart closings going on that they'd have some cheaper prices. The K-Mart in the city I work in and the one where I live are both closing. Maybe I'll check them out.

I've bought two of these K.I.T. Racers now, and it's a bummer how they make you choose between a good matched set of mags and the better of the two motors.
Not a real hot motor in either case.
Stock batteries are what, 50, 100ma? I don't know what my clones have.
I have the red and dark blue K.I.T. rear/gears. Can anyone tell me the ratios for these two?
