Spanky-my mom is real into crafts and such, and she's used the transfer type foil that you're talking about.it's pretty decent stuff, and pretty flexible too, so it should absorb some crashes fairly well.but i think if you put it on something clear from the inside, and then look at the sticky side, it's more of a matte finish, than a shiny one.i'd be in for a charger body if you get them done.

good point on the metalic stuff. im trying to find an easy way to get the chrome bumpers on this thing. or at least come up with ideas for it. the charger is really starting to take shape. i think i might have it finished tonite or tomorow. i put on what i hope is the last application of putty so that i can get everything smoothed out. i will have a digi cam tomoro so i will take some pics then.
now im gonna do a dual cell mod on a clone for practice.. if it works right i will race it.

re:
Racing Legends in France makes a nice resin cast Pontiac GTO body specifically for the bit chassis. The kit comes with a body (molded in windows) and a seperate exaust piece. Very well made and costs only $13US + $5 shipping.
Here's a pic of a finished body...

first off **** it was because of teh gas short age in the 70's

Yes, that is exactly why muscle cars died out. Glad someone knows something about automotive history.
Muscle cars were almost exclusive to america. In that time period, imports were small, lightweight, cost effiecient, and fuel efficient. Especially Japanese cars, much like today.
Eruopeans and Germans had very nice cars that were just as strong if not stronger, but most were high priced and mostly made for the high rollers and the racing industry.
Yes, todays tech provides more power than yesterdays, but yesterday made up with it in blunt size.
No where else in the world could you buy a 5000-6000 pound beast of a car car with a stock 450ci (I beleive thats 7.4L folks)engine for $3,000 brand new from dealer, all stock. Thats was my pops 72 IMPALA mind you. His moms ford truck was faster too, I think she had a 451...
sorry about the rant
Today, I love foreign cars. M3 = yum. Its just sad the most american cars aren't very...well...american anymore. Everything is the same...for every car there is an equil alternative somewhere in the world.
I stil think the vette is the best bang for for your buck though.
and yes i want a charger!

re:
I wouldn't call the Camaro above an 'aftermarket body'. It's a one off custom body. Nicely done however.
