replacement bateries for digi-q where?

After reading a thread about some digi-q's coming with bad batteries i have been looking for cells that could replace the two that are i the car. After looking at the cells they seem to be about 12mm long with a diameter of 10mm.

the smallest cells i have seen are 15mm long this is not small enough despite being specified at 1/4aaa.

has anyone else found any cells that can fit in a digi q with any modification.

I had the idea that there seems to be enough room to mount the cells standing up but this would also raise the c of g but then they are 150mah cells.

any ideas?

yeah i tried that and just found out yuasa make the batteries taht will fit exactly the same capacity as them as well as dimensions.

problem is finding a retailer that sells yusa batterys online. Also most places seem to sell the yusa lead acid batteries but not there nimh cells.

i am going to e-mail some companies on there list that sells some of there batterys online and ask them if they can get the 1/4aaa cells with a dimension of 10 x 12 m yusa say they manufacture.
