Exactly. And your the ONLY PERSON who does so on this forum. And our mystery person did too. Hardly a coincidence.

You did when TinyRC checked. I guess the logs are *wrong* huh?
This probably happened when you were visiting your friend, hmmm?

whoa, whoa, whoa! Caught? Caught? I haven't been caught doing anything. Belive what you want. Tell everyone that Bayonaim and I are the same person. That proves nothing at all. Try going on AOL Instant messenger and adding IVIaniacTC and BayOnAim to your buddy list and talk to us at teh same time.

And why the hell would sum idiot want to make a user name and after a few weeks make a new one. On top of that, why would that same person have their second user id banned then make up excuses under a brand new sn. Dont ask me why we have the same ip. I have no frickin clue why the hell we would have the same ip. you really have problems "mr. i have nothing else to do except to look up koe in the search box" I could do the same thing and see how many people have mispelled the word "the".

And as for the post being a few minutes apart, that's just coincedence. we go to the same school and get out the same time. that prolly means that we get home about the same time. I dont know about you, but when i come home, the first thing i do is go online to check my mail and these forums. That's the first thing i do when i get home. after i do my homework, i go on again. Since me and bayonaim have the same classes, we have teh same hw and take about the same amount of time to finish it.

As far as im concerned, im innocent. Not innocent until proven guilty, but INNOCENT!! so get off my case.

datamonster, you don't seem to understand that I think you ARE innocent and BaY oN AiM is not.

I wouldn't have thought of searching on "koe" but
I just happened to notice the "koe" thing because I remember reading his posts and thinking "who the hell writes like that?" because koe doesn't even SOUND like know. It's not like mispelling "cool" as "kool" or something. That I can understand.

Would you write "knife" as "kife"? Same thing! You would sound like an idiot if you did that.

This isn't like searching misspellings of "the." This is, as BaY said, *intentional* mispelling of that particular word. The two people both do that and as far as I'm concerned they are the same person. Regardless of what account it was under. I'm sure he used the IVIaniacTC account because, DUH, of course he wouldn't use his own and post something so malicious.

Its funny that datamonster got PRETTY defensive all of the sudden. If it wasnt him, he shouldnt really care. And the aim thing. Anyone can do that. I can make 3 user names, and use them at teh same time. I can go on AIM, AIM express, AOL, HELL i can even go on my old nokia.

Question

I, for one, would like to see how TinyRC handles this now that the guilty parties have spoken. Whichever of the 2 of them it was....

I certainly am not going to waste my time on a forum where kids can pull stunts like that with no consequences whatsoever.
Then I might as well join another forum that has more mature members.

Anyhow as it stands, even with dynamic ip's with DSL, your computer basically rents the ip, unless the computer was shut down for a few days *in this case it was not* the ip will continue to be the same. The Logged ip no matter who the "forum user" is, is specific to that computer. Verizon works this way....everyone works this way....and no the computer does not "cash in"/refresh the ip as much and often as people think....

The chances of 2 people in 2 cities having the same ip and posting on this forum with in minutes of each other is impossible.....the chances of those 2 people knowing each other and posting on the forum....astronomical...verging on impossible to the power of 10....*basically I am saying...go buy a lottery ticket....it's your lucky day*

Anyhow....ip's don't lie. If the offending poster matches with your ip....then your the man who did it. It's like telling your parents that you live at house number 23 when in fact you live at house number 28 and have so for 8 or more years....it's rediculous.

Anyhow I hope this post made sense.

In my experience...you can't get away from this stuff...as long as there are good people using a forum...there are bound to be punks lurking as well.

If you go to another forum...your going to miss out on us....and still have to put up with this crap......

So you might as well hang here....at least this forum is still manageable....you can still talk to the owner/mod and he's not too busy to answer questions...how cool is that

Anyhow...have a good night all...off to beddy bye

Tiny_dealy:

I agree with everything you just said 100%. I doubt I could have said it better myself.

My only issue is that, yes, it happens everywhere, but if the admin doesn't DO anything about it, then it will only get *worse*. I think you will agree with that.

I think that TinyRC will be doing something, although I'm not sure to what extent.

I'm all for banning.

Guys, we're going to put these two (one?) on extreme caution, even the slightest mistake will result in instand banning. There is a minute chance that what they say is true, and hopefully they will prove with future posts that they are valuable members. But, any future abuse like this will not be tolerated in the least. FYI, here are the IP relationships:

***.176.112 -> datamonster, |V|aniacTC
***.111.1 -> |V|aniacTC, BaY oN AiM
***.254.226 -> BaY oN AiM

Note that these are the only IPs logged for these guys, as mentioned earlier, their DSL provider has extended the lease on these IPs over many many sessions. Since there is no overlap between BaY and datamonster, it is entirely possible that BaY hijacked |V|aniac's account.

The different cities we live in are neighboring cities.
