dual batter mod

somone probbly has asked this and gotten an answer so sorry if its repetitivie i made the dual batter mod using duct tape and it seems to work but it only works while the car is on the charger as soon as it take it off it no longer works and only whiles its chargin did i mess up or did i miss a step?

When that happens, it means your batteries are disconnected. check all solders and contacts.

i didnt solder anything i just used duct tape, does anyone know if duct tape is not good insulator and i thought it might be that i didnt modify my charger so i made a stand alone one and still my bit wont hold a charge but just works on the chargning pad
