I can't believe you old fuddy duddies! These micro R/C cars originated soley in the J-D-M ( for the uniniciated that's the JAPANESE DOMESTIC MARKET.) Thus all the rice. Plus if American cars are so great then why dont they still make the old hot rods?
You have to admit when you've been bested. And America: Japan is spankin the automotive industries A$$!!!! I'm an American who knows the truth: buy your vodka from russia, your coocoo clocks from switzerland, and your cars from Japan!

different??
maybe some of us just want different bodies for our bits? could that be possible?
BTW (old fuddy duddy) i'm 22 drive a civic but i can respect a muscle car just as well as i can any other car.. you don't have to throw your opinion around like it's rule you are entitled to your own opinion but you shouldn't try to force it on others.

Am I underastading you wrong?
Last time I checked you could still buy Corvettes, Camaros, Mustangs, and Firebirds. Or did you mean that they look different now a days? A 1982 Celica looks different than a 2002 Celica.

japan has not taken the entire automotive market. and ya know what. if you want your little integra that you cant make go fast unless you put an implant in it. fine. us true americans love the raw horsepower cars. cars that have more than a power band of 1-2k rpm (usually somewhere between 5000-7000). i think many of us will agree that its better to have that power all the way across the board. im not saying that imoports are bad. i drive one myself. and how do you figure that the japanese market is even close to hurting the Domestic trucks like Ford Chevy and Dodge. sure the toyota will run forever but its functional puropses as a work truck are lacking. its more of a truck for a preppy wannabe. go back to your high school class and get some type of education befor you come in here and babble on about how the JDM cars are better than american. if you have a problem with someone customizing their car the way they want it keep it to yourself. the last i saw JDM cars are still not ruling any racing circut either. espically the prized honda civic or integra. (im not saying that they dont win ocassionaly but look at the manf champs.)

Heres the real problem with the old cars...they are old and outdated.
Sure you think they are nice, but screw going in a straight line and car can go straight, lets go to some twisties and see whats up.
I like certain old cars (mopar) but they are more for show. I like Auto X'in and Rally, not drag.
Even new American cars are better than the old. A new corvette will destroy an old one. (too bad they stopped making the Camaro/Firebird RIP 2002).

Not true, most American muscle cant handle anything over 6500 without throwing a rod. Old pushrod technology allows for a low rev but great torque.

that was refering to the imports with the very small band of usable power. read it again.
as for the camaros and firebirds. they stopped making them because nobody was buying them. the only market for them was southern white females. and thats a fact. they took a gamble with that body design and lost. i personally think that the design of the camaro was ugly. i prefered the late 70's look.. but thats my opinion
I also like the autox and rally. i have worked on rallys every year since i was 4 and raced in a couple also. and never have i seen a honda or acura even finish. they just cant handle the abuse. mitsubushi can, ya gotta love the evos.
another thing with the old cars.. when you bought them new. they were fast, you didnt have to dump another 10k into them to make them a performer. lets see your car do some twisties without that performance suspension. after all you can make any car handle good. you just have to tune it correctly.
besides these are freakin bit cars. who really cares if someone thinks one car is better than another. i personally want to have something that nobody else has. thats the reason we make these cars.
if they are so old and outdated, how come they are still around. you do know that they are coming back. look at the prowler. a retro style hot rod. funny aint it. to bad you think its outdated, with its aluminum frame and body construction, i guess it will only go in a straight line. bummer.....

Het spanky, how much for a charger body?
What i am saying is you get any 60's-70's car and ill take a BMW Mini Cooper S. Not only is it just a supercharged 4 banger, but has outhandled the Porsches in Slalom speeds.
I do not like the honda or acura craze, i am into the Skylines and Rx-7's, even the old 70's and 80's skylines were great. Datsun (division of nissan) also makes some wonderful cars that i like and happen to be vintage models.
Let me say 1 thing. American cars were known for straight line and being HUGE and very strong. Euros were for handling. Back in the 70's the japs were known for cheap.
Now it seems the japs are quality, and the price has gone up. Europe is still all about power and styling with great handling. Americans seem to try to be like the Euros and the Japs now, they have lost their own innovations.

i think the toy companies that make toy cars like hot wheels, johnny lightning, ect. should make pull backs for bits. that way everyone has what they like. if you're into hotrods, or imports, or cartoons. it might even be better if the model companies made them. give it a year or so and see what happens.

well i hope so. with its wheelbase and the tires pushed to the corners like they are. i agree with you on that one. there is a reason they say it has go-kart like handleing. hehehe. but on average cars dont handle like that. i guess i agree with all you say. but disagree with that bozo who started this debate.
i personally like the old rx-7s. the way they looked plus that rotary engine = fun!! datsun.. yea i have a 510 that we have moded out for rallying. unfortnately it needs a lot of work after an incident with a cow... lol and i drive a turbod nissan now.. heheheheh but it still cant touch our 50 ford P.U.

I could be wrong, but the 1970 HEMI CUDA I think is in the Guiness book. High 10s in the quarter. (stock)
I'll check again.
