Periods of inactivity = nonfunctional???

I gotta admit, I probably haven't touched my Bit Char for a month now . Recently, I found some spare time on my hands and decided to sweep off the cobwebs on my controller and chassis. Remembering the steps to get the thing working, I turned on the controller switch, plugged the chassis onto the charger port and waited 45 seconds. Once the charging light went off, I took the chassis out carefully, placed it on a flat surface and hit the forward button.

Nothing happened.

Must be the motor? Hit the steering controls;

Nothing happened.

Did not charge right? Charged it three times and checked the connections.

Also, I did various troubleshooting methods to figure out what the problem was including making sure the chassis components were in one piece.

Because the PCB hangs loosely most of the time since I lost the PCB cover and I get lazy when it comes to securing it in place with lab masking film, I assume it was some bad storage condition (one of those plastic drawer style toolboxes) that must have ruined the PCB.

Aftermath, get a Microsizer Speed Set and enjoy the clear Evo VII body, BTW, Evo VIII is coming out soon HERE!!!!!!!

However, I fear that it may be the controller, especially the charger, so tommorow, I'll try to charge and control my friend's Bit Char to verify the source of the problem. So, the main point of this post is to not gain sympathy from the other members but I'd like to ask anyone here if they know of any methods to troubleshoot your controller.

heres some things you can try:

1. get a digital volt meter tester and see how much volts are in the car's battery after charging. if it can't hold a charge, replace the battery with one from a kit racer.

2. use the digital volt meter and test the batteries in the remote to see if they have a good charge. a good charge should be around 1.3-1.5. anything lower than 1.3, pop in some new batteries.

3. if the motor doesn't turn, it could be that the side with the small tab isn't touching the metal tab in the chasis. try placing a shim(small piece of paper or something thin) in between the metal tab and chasis to bring the tab out some more.
