I just got my motors in the mail! Tonight, I'll be testing this motor and I'll have my review up the following day. I'll see if I can get video up too!

Nice looking too, not only much faster, but makes the _yellow_ NOS run for it's money.

OK... I have played with engine for at least 2 hours and I'll I can say is WOW!

The test vehicle I used was a Rally Racer with the light green BCG gears.

First of all this thing flys on the straight-away. I was very impressed with how much torque this has. I was traversing over carpet types that I could not do with any other motor. If you want to see a bit fly, then ram your bit into a wall going full speed with the R-Spec! Usually when you hit a wall you bounce off and flip to the side sometimes, but with the speed this creates, you flip like 3 times and end up about 2 feet away from the wall. It was hitting the wall so hard and making such a niose that I though I had put a hole in the wall.

I dodn't have Tomy 3.8 so I don't know how it fares, but it puts the NOS motor to shame.

I did notice that I couldn't get my car to flip over with this motor in, but I could with my DKS 3.4, yet It would not spin out like having a 2.6 in it.

I took the other motor over to my Dad's house and had him put it in his Rally Racer too.. We re getting my nephews together this weekend for a race and smoke them with our new motors.

If you don't want insane speed then forget buying this motor. My bit has become this little white flash on the ground as it zips by.

I highly recommend getting this motor for all out fun! You can't go wrong with this motor.

How would you compare it to a 3.5 as far as balance betwen speed and torque,

i have heard that that motor has a great balance, and i was thinking ofgetting one, but is this can have the same or better speed with more torque then ill just order from tiny instead...

(what are they chances of you or someone trying it in a 2 speed Booster bit?)

I ordered a R-spec engine last week and a booster set soon after with plans to test the engine in it. So if no one else tests it before me I'll let you know when they both come in how well it works.

RidgeRacer -, thats sweet... thanks for the review!

Q- for you... actually for anyone, do you have or know someone with a Wild char-g to test it in? If not I'm gonna need to hook it up and do a little field work.

What gears should you use for max speed with the R-spec motor?

The red Zip Zap gears or the light green BCG racing gears will make it fly.

Funny!

Interesting way of testing a motor RidgeRacer!

" If you want to see a bit fly, then ram your bit into a wall going full speed with the R-Spec! Too funny!

I too have a boost car (350z) and the r-spec. The motor was the bomb. I have a few bitmod 3.5's and the r spec are faster. The funny is mine is making a funny noise in boost too. It was fine, and then suddenly it happened. It also is slower now because of the noise. Weird??

So the r-spec is as fast as a 3.5 unboosted?????
and does this squeeling noise just mean that the r-spec cant take "boost power" heh

so many mixed views on this, its hard to get a solid comparison
