210 mAh NiMH batteries
I found a site selling 210 mAh NiMH batteries.
Want to see if these will work ok with Bit Chars.
I've added the website below. It'll bring you directly to the 1/3AAA spec sheet.

I read the size specs for that as:
Diameter: 10mm (no problem)
Height: 20.5mm (BIG problem, won't fit)
The size rating of '1/3AAA' is non-standardized, which stinks when finding high capacity batteries.
To safely fit into a Bit, a maximum of 16mm height must be used.

Ok..I looked at the specs for the 1/4 AAA and it's 14mm and it gives 150mAh so i'll test em out. so max dimensions would be 10mm x 16mm?

Um . . . you really don't need a bigger battery to get better run times.
If you take your stock battery out and place it into a peak charger, you'll get over 20 minutes of run time.
The problem is that the bit chargers don't fully charge the stock batteries. I haven't done any time tests, but I usually charge mine 2-3 times and I get very long run times that way. I think I read somewhere that 5-6 was a full charge, but I don't want to over charge the poor little thing and 2-3 consecutive charges give me 10-15 minute run times, which is plenty.

dang..wish you posted this earlier!
I already ordered some new batteries..
ah well..no biggy..$13USD isn't much anyway. once i change to the 3.8 motor in my Wild Char, having the extra juice in the nimh battery will probably help. also been thinking of going 2.4V on it too so need another battery anyway..
Thanks for the info though..i'll try charging my bus on my stand alone for 4minutes and see how long I get out of it . Maybe i'll leave thatone stock if it runs long with a 2.6 in it.

mate the peak charger does what it says on the tin, basicaly it monitors the voltage that the battery has whilst it charges as soon as it sees the voltage geting lower it knows it fully charged.
therfore the time the charger will charge thye battery for will change depending on numerouse factors including residual charge in the battery.

I've got a GP charger for my regular nimh batteries. Charges my 1800mAh NiMH batteries. How do I tell if it's a peak charger or not though?
forgot to ask that last post.
