90 second mod to non bit (stand alone) charger

I got some cannonballs with the seperate charger and did an ac adapter mod to the chargers so I can apply more voltage and use less batts. now I want to crank it up to 90 second charge. these are obviously not TOMY parts but I was wondering if I pick up the same cap can I just solder it in my stand alone chargers? I honestly haven't looked to see where the cap might go but I am sure it's the same idea. Anyone done this to non TOMY parts? Specifically stand alone? BTW I will post some pics of the (cheap) ac adapter mod if I can get my hands an a camera, I think it looks very nice and means I can permanently mount my chargers on a track since I won't have to change batts.
