homebrew auto medellista CELICA
i recieved the celica bodies for christmas, and since im wetting myself waiting for capcoms amazing cell shaded racer, i decided to go ahead and make a celica since its not offered in the SE AUTO MODELLISTA set. let me know what you guys think...

i dont understand the whole "carbon fiber look" hood thing but im old and crazy.
anyhow the paint job is good but the black lines are thick. nex time try wiping off the excess right after you put the black in the cracks. its tedious but looks nicer.

it's one of the things guys do to their real cars now. Much like fiberglass hoods, it cuts down on weight, but without the major shortcoming of fiberglass: strength retention on long flat surfaces.
Sadly fiberglss is not too strong when its a flat sheet, you need curves (look at the vette, very curvaceos bodies).
Carbon fiber is just outright strong, as long as its not paper thin (like anyhting is strong at paper thickness)
So just think of it as a lightweight hood that has less scrifices in the strength category, but costs far more.
And it admittedly does look good on some cars. The new mustangs, especially the grey ones look great with a carbon fiber GT style hood. And I think my old 92 would look nice too
