Paypal Sucks

Has anyone else here been screwed over royally by paypal?

They were great, until i sold my laptop, i guess alot of it was my fault, but now i lost about $2000 and they dont even care, all they want is their money.

Guess i won't ever use Paypal again...tiny do you accept other forms of payments?

Send a message via AIM to Draconious
and why / how did you lose 2000$ ?

Most complaints about paypal are caused by simple user error...

I have been with them for over 2 years now without a single problem.

Someone is claimed to have "hi-jacked" the sellers account. I have all the Seller Protection covered, however, because it was fraudulent, i lose! I even shipped to a confirmed address...which was fraudulently added as paypal sucks!

binaryterror, we certainly can take other forms of payment. So what exactly happened, I don't quite understand?

Well i was selling my laptop on ebay, this guy one. He had it shipped overseas (my bad, but i thought paypal ok'd that). Then it turns out the paypal address who paid me never bought it, it was hacked into. So i lost the laptop and the shipping costs as well as the sales moneys. I am out over $850 just for the money i was sent and shipping.

Paypal doesnt even care, they said "well their account seems to have been hi-jacked, sorry the funds were sent fraudulently, but have a nice day, and by the way you owe us $800, please pay us within 10 days, or contact us and recieve a 90 limit."

So now after i spent all the money i thought i had gotten, i owe them it all back, plus my computer is gone forever. Come on at that rate i could have sold it for $5 and been better off.

Enough of me whining, i must now go get the paper and find a second job!

binaryterror, that really sucks! Sorry you got ripped off by a fraudulent bidder - can't you track them down through the eBay auction? eBay should have their full, legit contact info on file.

www.trollhunters.com might be able to help.

Personally, I don't ship outside the USA when selling anything on ebay. Canada is an exception but nobody else. I don't trust anyone.
