Exclamation Looking about getting a palm racer.. more..

For those who own Mini-X's, how much faster and more fun are these in comparison to the bits.. Im thinking about getting a mini x.. so far i have z-cars, microsizer and a couple clones. Looking to go bigger... Is it worth it, or should i just reinvest in a few more bits I LOVE to tinker and upgrade, these look alot more upgradable etc... Fill me in please!

Well, it's a choice between 2 and 4wd, and high or low detail bodies. The Mini-X has 4wd, up to 6 cells, and 4 wheel ind. suspension. The Mini-Z is much less advanced in terms of electronics and mechanics, but offers more hop-ups and better looking bodies. If you're considering a Mini-Z, check out our sister site Mini-ZRacer.com. Where would you like to run your car, this may help decide?

A stock Mini-Z is slower than the stock Mini-X, especially on low traction surfaces.

Remember though the Mini-Z has tons more modifications available via stores, where the Mini-X is more a stock runner, some parts but not as many as the Mini-X.

Im returning my X, the mini-z performs better with jsut a little less hopups, the mini-x handles horribly in my opinion, i highly reccommend you get a mini-z and buy some hopups from minizracer.com , also there is only bearings, springs, wheel nuts, and tires as hopups on the mini-x, its just not worth it.

I still personally like mine more than my friends Mini-Z. But really there have been no problems on my end with the Mini-X.

Stock the Z is slower. But remember there are tons of mods, and yes the mini-z can be faster after you mod it up.

I agree...my friend with the Mini-Z is expecting to spend $150 plus the cost of the car to make it what he wants. Where as my stock (or 6 cell) mini-X is awesome. He has even said he likes the handling and innovation of the moni-X more, but he is a super tinker, and has plenty of $$$ to throw at them. Also he loves Ferrari Modena 360 bodies, hence the mini-z being perfect for him.

Also when the snow melted we raced on my nice 1 yr old driveway, and well the mini-z's suspension couldn't do it at all, but the X was great!
