Preserving a 3.0 engine. . .

Hi!

Just wondering. . . I just got my 3.0 engine today.

WOW is it an upgrade from a 1.0! I ordered a supra on the thought that there was a 2.2 engine, and they sent me a 3.0 for free!

Now, I've heard that they break very easily. So, I'm trying my best to preserve it. I only run it for a minute or two at a time, and I burst it. I'm on the throttle for 2-3 seconds max. What else should I do to keep it working?

Gotta say though. This thing is INSANE!

lol well ive had my 3.0 running for a month , and ive notced its much mored reliable when bent out the small metal contact strip on the red end, ive noticed that theres no studdering and it lasts for 6 minuites

i've had my 3.0 for a while now and i don't do anything to preserve is.. i go full out all the time and i have a NiMH so my car runs for atleast 25-30mins at a time.. i just go crazy

so i don't think you have anything to worry about..

I got a 3.0, and got to run it a whole 1 time. Mine stutters the whole time, and my 1.0 is now faster. I can safely say I agree with someone who said its the luck of the draw with the 3.0s. I don't think there was anything I could do different, yet some people have no problems at all. I wouldn't recommend not using it, thats what you bought it for, and at around 7 bucks, have fun and buy another if it blows. Good luck with it!

well, mines still running strong! Put about 4 charges through it. . .
