the rubber and rims and bodies will be able to be mounted. The ball diff too. Also so of the kawada mid24 parts. The cars seem to handle mumech better then the mini-z and kawada cars too.......

the sonic racer will not go as fast as an abc dtm sp because it only uses 4 cells.

Keep in mind that the Yokomo is Mini-Z scale (1/27-1/28) while the ABC is 1/24. It's not really a fair comparison - I would imagine that there may be racing classes that allow the Mini-Z and Yokomo to race together, while it would make no sense for the Mini-Z and SP to race together.

Well the ABC car is ok, but after dealing with their past products I am not a big fan of thier stuff anymore. Besides the owner is a jerk, met him last year and he was not help at tall. Anways, The sonic is lighter then the ABC. So who knowns, if you can`t control the car, it does not matter how fast the car goes.

So what made you go for the IPD race 20? Where did you hear about it?
I kind of know the owner of IPD....very very nice guy....good head on his shoulders.....and great products. I think the Race 20 is a good way to go if you plan on modding the crap out of your car Since it takes up to a 480...it's nice to know that the car is the limiting factor...not your speed control.

i heard about the ipd from you tiny_dealy! i read your post in the dynamite rr and looked at the link, then searched for it. i then looked at the competition: es-01-heard it blew out with a 180 motor, novak spy-too expensive, gm line-too expensive, quantum line-too expensive. i thought the ipd was a good mix of performance and price and since i use speedos with forward only in my 1/10 touring cars, i wont miss reverse. note i say the others are too expensive because i dont want to blow like 60-120 dollars on a mini speedo. i can do that with touring cars

HEHEHEHE.....nice to know someone reads my posts
Yeah I think you made a great choice. Best bang for the buck by a long shot. I think the only thing that keeps people away from this esc are those who don't race and NEED reverse. For me Reverse is optional......as it is with you. Actually This unit will be my next big purchase....
But no question....if you don't mind not having reverse then nothing else can touch this unit....for capacity...size...price. Also since I have had the chance to meet the guy...I also know him to be great guy to deal with...with a heart for customer service<<at least in my experience. But hey let's face it....20A and a 480 motor capability....this esc just BEGS to be used
Let me know how you like this one....perhaps post a short review. And I am glad I was able to help out somehow

Hi there,
The site is as follows http://www.competition-rc.com/Sport/SportHome.htm
They are the Canadian Distributor for Sanyo cells and they do an amazing job of matching packs. The site is not all that informative yet, but I expect it will get much better soon.
I am using the 600mah 7.2 volt mrs4 pack.
I am not sure if I can post this so TinyRC if I did a bad thing here just edit it out.
But I am not sure you can get those packs in the states yet....unless they just picked up a new US retail partner which I think they did. Anyhow call me at 1-877-363-3648 (toll free) if you want to order one from the company I work for. My name is Tim.
It is possible we are out of them....but can't hurt to try....they ship anywhere.
